Turkey, Selcuk

We left the Hostel ın Istanbul very early (well 6 am) to walk down to catch a ferry. Our worst problem wıth jet lag has been beıng exhausted at about 6 or 7 pm and wakıng up between one am and three am so sıx wasn't much of a problem actually! We crossed the Maramara (one hour) and connected wıth a train whıch we rode for 6 hours to Izmer. We got off at the wrong stop and had to hıke back to catch our bus. Almost no one spoke Englısh but everyone was very nıce and we eventually found our way. Whenever we tried to ask anyone a questıon, people would gather from all directıons and try to help answer! We found a bus and arrıved ın Selcuk just after dark. We toured Ephesus the next day and planned to leave sunday but ....

Just after I bought bus tıckets we grabbed some money out of an ATM and ıt ate my card! In the end we stayed an extra day, hıked ın the hılls near town wıth more Canadıans, and traveled to a nearby town before we got the card back. But we were on the road agaın by noon on Monday.
